Dr. Alok Singh graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1998. After dental school, he completed a surgical residency at MetroHealth Medical Center, a Level I trauma centre in Cleveland, Ohio. During his residency, he gained substantial experience in surgical dentistry and in coordinating complex dental cases.
Dr. Singh is a lifelong learner who continues to invest in his clinical education. For more than 20 years, much of that education has focused on dental implants, gum and bone grafting, and sedation dentistry. This background helps him guide patients through procedures that require careful surgical planning and clear communication about preparation and recovery.
He offers IV sedation when it is clinically appropriate. It may be considered for patients who experience significant dental fear or anxiety, have medical needs that make conventional care more challenging, or wish to complete a larger amount of treatment in one appointment. Suitability is determined through an individual health assessment, and the requirements are explained before treatment is scheduled.
Dr. Singh grew up in Edmonton and completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta. He moved to Calgary in 2001, drawn by the city’s proximity to the mountains and his love of snowboarding. Outside the clinic, he enjoys motorcycling, travelling, and spending time in the mountains. One memorable trip allowed him to combine two of those interests on a motorcycle journey through South Africa.
